“Africa’s Largest-ever Immunization Drive Underway” ……WHO

The World Health Organization has reemphasized the importance of vaccination in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic alongside observing proper preventive measures such as washing hands, using hand sanitizer, avoiding large gathering and keeping physical distance.

The vaccines that have been approved for COVID-19 vaccination include, Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna,  Johnson & Johnson/ Janssen. However, Pfizer-BioNtech’s COVID-19 vaccine are to be administered as boosters for at least six months after completion of primary Pfizer-BioNTech series. 

Also, the dosage for taking the vaccines differ from each brands depending on the ages of those who the vaccine is being administered to but it is important to note that no one vaccine is recommended over the other as Phase 3 clinical trials for COVID-19 vaccines is still in progress in the United States.
